AZ Impact for Good | Arizona Grantmakers Forum | Other Organization/Company
Short Description:
Open to ONE Members only! While there is no doubt most nonprofits have been inundated with emails and phone calls regarding the Employee Retention Tax Credit, we invite you to learn the real reasons why this program is being so heavily promoted. We will share realistic expectations of funding, timeframes to receive these funds, how to select a reputable consultant, and much more. Most importantly, all nonprofits should know if they do OR do not qualify for these funds in order to make an educated decision as to whether or not to pursue the program.
Join Safety for NonProfits (S4NP) to learn more about how volunteers and workers at nonprofits may be at risk of accidents and injuries and steps you can take to reduce their risk and improve the safety at your nonprofit organization. This presentation will demonstrate why safety is important at nonprofits, cover basic safety facts and hazards and simple steps you can take to mitigate these hazards. The video will also introduce you to S4NP, a local organization offering free health & safety consulting services to Arizona nonprofits and how to contact S4NP for support.
Open to Grantmakers ONLY! Join the Alliance + Arizona Grantmakers for this informational webinar, presented by Bonterra and the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, centered on the Jumpstart Program. Deployed by grantmakers across the country, Jumpstart is a tech-enabled and cohort-based nonprofit capacity building program, recently piloted by Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust in Maricopa County.
Open to ONE Members only! Getting the right folks “on the bus” is essential to create highly functioning boards. Making sure board members are properly vetted, onboarded, and mentored is essential to building stronger, more engaged boards. Understanding their governing role is key to having a high-functioning board. In this presentation, you will learn best practices for recruitment, onboarding, and retention and what to do if a board member goes “rogue.”
Grantmakers Members ONLY! In this session you will learn how foundations can invest and engage in advocacy and why they should, key differences between advocacy and lobbying, and how one Arizona foundation is maximizing the impact of its investments through advocacy.
AZUL Members ONLY! Join us to hear our speaker, Andrés, talk about the power of serving on a nonprofit board and being authentic in your work because your true self brings the needed diversity to the nonprofit sector.
Join your fellow Southern Arizona Network members for a roundtable-style meeting where members will share current funding priorities, opportunities for collaboration, and current pain points in grantmaking. The Small and Family Foundations affinity group meetings are open to all Arizona Grantmaker Forum members. If you cannot attend the webinar live, please register anyway, as we will send out a recording of this event.
Grantmakers Members ONLY. Join your fellow education funders for a session discussing the topic of Access to Higher Education in Arizona: Undocumented Students and Proposition 308.
In this roundtable, we'll be discussing how Arizona Gives Rural nonprofit participants have planned and executed their marketing/fundraising campaigns for a successful Arizona Gives Day.
The Arizona Nonprofits + Grantmakers Policy Council is an advisory group composed of individuals interested in public policy and advocacy for Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. It is free and open to any members of the Alliance or Grantmakers.
